Fitness,Health,Self Improvement As of the time of writing this article, there's some fairly convincing evidence that the rapidly growing trend of using hypnosis and/or Neuro Linguistic Programming (commonly known as NLP) to help people kick the habit of smoking completely and permanently is gaining some pretty successful ground.

The defining line is actually very fine between NLP and hypnosis and both methods are very often interchanged or used at the same time for varying programs.

As a simple explanation; the basics forming the idea that NLP and/or hypnosis can halt you smoking is that it's a habit, meaning that something in our minds is giving us the craving for nicotine and so the need to smoke.

Practitioners hold a strong belief that both hypnosis and NLP have a strong influence on the sub-conscious, meaning they're able to halt the cravings which of course would only be seen as enormously supportive for any smoker desperate to quit.

The rapidly rising popularity of hypnosis is quite spectacular and covers varying issues, including stress management, weight-loss and various other areas of psychotherapy and is one of the most modern methods utilised to aid people to quit their destructive smoking habit.

So, let's cut to the chase and get to the very often asked question - does it actually work?

It goes without saying that hypnosis is treated the same as any new or previously unused process or program so there will be, skeptics and of course the naysayers - would hypnosis truly work or is it just another scam or fad that devious practitioners use for monetary gain?

The fact is, there have so far been a vast array of studies that have revealed very positive results after NLP or hypnosis has been utilised as a means for altering habits, including smoking. A whole lot of people have claimed that the treatment helped them to completely and effectively quit smoking permanently.
